The University of Maryland Energy Research Center undertakes research in energy policy and economics.
Students learn, perform research and advance their careers in close interaction with individuals involved in policy making at local, national and international levels. These include not only faculty members, but also personnel within engineering consulting and technology firms, think tanks, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Their diversity of interests highlights the opportunities and challenges students face in analyzing complex topics, communicating technical concepts and guiding or serving as decision-makers.
In addition, the Center will undertake research in four areas of energy technology and educational programs. |
