UM's Pres. Mote to Retire

In a letter to the UM community today, C.D. Mote, Jr., president of the campus and a professor of mechanical engineering at the Clark School, announced he will be retiring as president effective August 31.

Pres. Mote will take a one-year leave of absence and then continue his academic appointment at the Clark School.
