In an article from the Credit Union Times, a groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place on December 15, 2009 for an environmentally-friendly student housing complex at the University of Maryland, College Park. The Starview Plaza housing complex is an eight-story, 320,000 square foot facility that will have 600 beds, a 382-parking space garage and 8,500 square feet of retail space for lease. The complex will be a silver “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” certified building, having proof of energy conservation through site development, water savings, energy efficiency, use of materials and indoor environmental quality.

The Credit Union Times published another article back in July 2009 acknowledging the project would move forward after State Employees Credit Union and business services CUSO CU Business Capital LLC helped secure the financing.
