Statement of energy interests and expertise:
As a climate scientist, my main current research is on climate change in the past and future, global warming, carbon cycle, carbon sequestration using biological processes. My interest in energy is mostly on non-CO2 emitting renewable energy sources. My interest is mostly related to the following focus areas of MERC (in decreasing order): 1) advanced solar energy conversion; 2) bioprocesses for fuel production; 3) nuclear fusion.
