Statement of energy interests and expertise:
I am a climate dynamicist with interests in a range of climate modeling problems. My research related to  energy problems is in the simulation of the climate and meteorological impact of large-scale wind turbine installations. Sufficiently large installation can result in temperature perturbations on the order of a degree Celsius, and changes in wind velocity on the order of a meter per second.   We are currently modeling the time evolution of the flow disturbances introduced by a rapid, simultaneous change in turbine blade position.
